DMY International Design Festival Berlin 2008

ZENSORS is a series of experiential performances, installations, concerts and workshops scheduled in Berlin for the 21-30 May 2008. Collaborating artists: Daito Manabe, David Canisius, Fuyuki Yamakawa, Matanicola, Motoi Ishibashi, Naoto Iina, Takayuki Fujimoto and Walkscreen A project by Vanini Belarmino, supported by the Japan Foundation through Performing Arts Japan. Project partners: Public Art Lab, Cookies, Dance and Media Japan, DMY 2008, RADIALSYSTEM V and 103 Studio/ VORSPIEL. Media partners: EXBERLINER and ZITTY. ZENSORS is an experiential performance party, installation and concert. Through the marriage of creative energies and cultures, this gathering will set an atmosphere deemed appeal to the senses, thereby transporting the artists and audiences alike in between Berlin and Tokyo. In search for balance between media technology and performance, the Japanese and European collaborators coming from diverse artistic practices will present a process-based performance and sensory installations resulting from the three-day exchange at RADIALSYSTEM V and Cookies.

Conducted by Japanese artists specialising in media performance technology, DJs, VJs,choreographers, dancers, classical musicians, singers, rappers, sound designers, programmers, architects, fashion designers, photographers, visual artists, filmmakers and everyone interested in artistic and technological interventions are invited to join this two-day intensive workshop. This is an opportunity to explore and play along with a variety of creative senses using media performance technology.
