Through a community model, AVIT has spread worldwide via the vjcentral.com and vjforums.com websites and has been organizing festivals and conferences throughout Europe and America since 2002. Activity in the UK peaked with AVIT 2005 in Birmingham. Groups in Paris, Rome and Berlin have continued to organize regular annual events, drawing both practitioners and audience from around the world.
The organization is relaunching with a core group aiming to assist other VJs producing events for the community around the world.
DMY and VisualBerlin are joining to plan something big for Berlin 2009.
