The Design Department (Prof. Weizenegger) of FH Potsdam explores new design methods which arise from the creation process. The designers take over the direction of a viewable performance, which then serves as the basis for the end product. This balancing act between design, crafts and art requires that the students negotiate unfamiliar terrain and create a new substantial product identity related to materials and manufacturing processes. The audience is an indispensable component of the production process and is able to witness the method in which these products receive their traces of life. In this way, form follows performance!
