KIRUBerlin, Germany kiru-system.deKIRU means ‘cut‘ in Japanese and is a modular, lightweight, easy-fit box assembly system cut out of six-millimetre thin multiplex or Alucobond-boards. The three basic elements for each box, frame, floor, side, can be assembled like cards to create a filigree yet highly stable corpus. KIRU permits the addition of any number of boxes, standing on height-adjustable, inserted aluminium feet, in the vertical or horizontal direction. The hollow spaces can be used as cable ducts. Moreover, KIRU can be expanded with add-on modular drawers and rear walls. Laid flat and packed individually, KIRU boxes are easily transported.
