Tamamushi lacquerware is a traditional Japanese lacquerware born and developed in Sendai (the largest city struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake), located in the north of Tokyo. Its surface is covered with silver powder and glazed with unique lacquer coating which creates a rich luster.
The people of the area love this product for its high quality and practical structure. Today we are proud to announce the launch of a concept model of local living wares with Tamamushi lacquer coating, introduced at the DMY International Design Festival.
