The group Formative originated from the project Performative Prototyping by Christina Karababa at UAS Düsseldorf. It devotes itself to playful and experimental explorations of digital image editing technologies and rapid prototyping. In bringing together technologies, materials, forms, traces as well as performative gestures it follows new ways in the generation of form. The play with distancing effects and transformation is enlivened by spontaneity and directness.
