From June 6-10 the state initiative ›Project Future‹ (Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft) will present industrial design products, designed by Berlin-based design offices for companies worldwide and selected by high-level experts, in the course of the DMY International Design Festival.
The exhibited objects give an insight into different stages of the development process. From digital DJ-systems to mobile dockside cranes and trishaws - alltogether the exhibition features 15 works selected from 180 entries.
After presentations abroad, the exhibits return to Berlin to be shown to a large audience at DMY. The exhibition’s goal is to highlight Berlin’s industrial design potential, and to strengthen the city’s image as a center for innovative product development.
ID_Berlin as well takes part in the Open Talks at DMY. On June 8 (3:00 to 4:20pm) festival visitors are invited to gain insights into the development processes of some products of the ID_Berlin exhibition. The presentations cover the main topic ›process design‹. Amongst others, design offices such as IFS Design, Native Instruments and ecke design show their works. After the Open Talks interested visitors are invited to a Meet & Greet with the designers at ID_Berlin’s exhibition space.
