As satellites of the festival, galleries, museums, studios and institutions host design-related exhibitions and events throughout Berlin. Apart from exhibitions and presentations by local, national and international designers, visitors can gain heterogenous insights into creative work processes in numerous open studios and workshops.
Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design, Berlin hosts a discussion on the importance of classic product design on the occasion of their special exhibition »Chairs without Legs«; in cooperation with Treibhaus and Katerholzig llot llov invites visitors to create urban, eco-friendly garden design and Finnland-Institute introduces significant representatives of World Design Capital 2012 Lahti within its exhibition »Designer Portraits«. With »DO GOOD«, UDK's designtransfer presents design objects that improve life, e.g. the ›Solarkiosk‹ by Graft Architects and Andreas Spiess – just some of the numerous stops that invite festival visitors to go out and explore Berlin.
