On Tour
As over the past five years, we maintain our focus on Asia‘s key countries while carrying out our international projects for 2008. This year, from October to December, DMY Berlin presents groundbreaking concepts as well as formal and practical solutions by 18 Berlin-based creators and design collectives at four different design fairs and festivals in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan via the “DMY - Asia Exhibition Tour”.
The events concentrate on serial products, limited editions, and close-to-production prototypes from the fields of product, furniture and interior design, including various genre-spanning projects. The collective show spans from conceptual work to living-area products to innovative architectural solutions, therefore further promoting the continuous development of DMY Berlin’s designer representations abroad.
The main objective of DMY’s overseas projects is to promote international exchanges and cooperation in the field of design, as well as to present Berlin-based and German design projects, creators and their product developments to a broader public, the international press and to a wide panel of experts.
The “DMY - Asia Exhibition Tour 2008“ is funded by the Berliner Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft and co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE). Taking place in cooperation with the Taiwan Design Center, Designtide Tokyo and the Seoul Design Festival.
